ORLANDO, Fla. ( – Two former Knights have advanced to the final stage of qualifying for the Tour. Connor Arendell and Brad Schneider both finished among the Top 20 at the Second Stage Qualifying Tournament held in Plantation, Fla. this past weekend.

Schneider tied for 11th to move on and was 8-under for the tournament. He tallied a first-round 69, before getting really hot in the second and third rounds. Schneider carded 6-under rounds of 66 in the middle two rounds to put himself in great position entering the fourth and final round. While he came back to the pack a bit in the final round, his score of 75 was more than enough to finish among the qualifiers.

Arendell, who recently earned his European Tour card, cut it a little bit closer. With the top 20 scores and ties moving on, he qualified by one stroke. Arendell finished tied for 19th and was 6-under for the event. He was 1-under in the first and fourth rounds, but made up good ground in the second and third rounds. Arendell shot a 3-under 69 in the second round and followed it up with a 5-under 67 in the third.

The pair of former Knights will now take part in the Tour Final Qualifying Stage, which is slated for Dec. 12-17 at the PGA West Nicklaus Tournament Course and the PGA West TPC Stadium Course in La Quinta, Calif.
