UCF Men's Soccer Achieves Record in the Classroom

ORLANDO, Fla. - The UCF men's soccer team posted its highest GPA in team history during the 2013-14 academic year at 3.11. The Knights also registered an in-season GPA of 3.22 during the fall to set a new record.

"I want to acknowledge Adam Hubbard and Kimya Massey from academic services for all that they do to help and support our program," said head coach Bryan Cunningham. "They worked extremely hard to ensure that our student-athletes were well looked after, so our program could having an outstanding academic year."

Junior Jake Weiss and sophomore Mason Miller posted a perfect 4.0 GPA for the entire academic year. Fall 4.0's were notched by freshmen Dener Dos Santos and Fernando Laverde, while senior Gabriel Zapponi and freshman Zach Biggs accomplished the feat in the spring.

A total of 11 student-athletes were named to the Dean's List for recording a 3.4 or higher GPA in the fall or spring semester. An additional six players earned AD's honor roll accolades for a 3.0 or higher GPA in either term.
