ORLANDO, Fla. ( - The UCF men's soccer team had 11 recipients on The American All-Academic Team that was announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Tallying a 3.0 GPA during the 2013-14 season to earn the honor were Zach Biggs, Javier Clavijo, Andre Diouf, Phil Hicks, Steven Lamberta, Matt Laux, Fernando Laverde, Mason Miller, Gabriel Oliveria, Omar Vallejo and Jake Weiss.

A total of 166 UCF student-athletes were recognized for their work in the classroom by the American.

The men's soccer program recorded it highest GPA during the academic year at 3.11. The Knights also set a program high with an in-season GPA of 3.22 during the fall.

UCF reports on Aug. 10 and begins preseason preparations on Aug. 11. The Knights host a pair of exhibition games on Aug. 17 at 5 p.m. vs. Jacksonville and Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. vs. Tampa.
