ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Former UCF men's soccer defender Kevan George earned a call-up to the Trinidad & Tobago Senior National Team for a pair of friendlies with Jamaica on Friday in Montego Bay before The Soca Warriors host a match on Tuesday, November 19 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
The call-up is George's fourth on the senior roster in 2013 following a substitute appearance in an international friendly against New Zealand on Oct. 15. George earned his first call-up during the OSN Cup earlier this year, an international tournament held in Saudi Arabia from Sept. 5-9, where he earned his first two caps on the senior roster after substitute appearances against the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
George made a career-high 11 appearances, including three starts, for the Columbus Crew in the 2013 MLS regular season. He was a second round draft pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft, and made seven appearances, including four starts, in his rookie campaign.
George was a major contributor for the Knights from 2008-11 and helped UCF advance to the NCAA Championship on two occasions.
