UCF Tennis Teams Open C-USA Championships Thursday

Both the men's and women's programs take on East Carolina.

2013 SPRING
• Registered a team-best 17-11 overall record
• Recorded a 12-7 record during singles action
• Defeated Admire Mushonga of (1/12) Florida A&M 6-0, 7-5 for his first victory of the season
• Teamed with Jorge Blasco for an 8-7 win over Rollins' (2/3) Di Felice and Maxwell
• Dominated Rollins' (2/3) Adrian Di Felice 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 4 spot
• Paired with Blasco to defeat FAU's (2/8) Sean Bacha and Richard Meade 8-3
• Clinched the Knights' 4-3 victory over FAU (2/8) by defeating Robert Dubuque 6-7, 6-4, 6-1
• Opposite Blasco, defeated No. 75 Louisiana-Lafayette (2/12) twins' Hunter and Yates Johnson 8-5
• At the No. 4 slot, coasted his way to a 6-3, 6-2 win over FGCU's (2/15) Lance Lvovsky
• Along with Blasco, earned an 8-5 triumph over Connecticut's (2/17) Hosang and Cohen
• Posted a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Andrew Ginzberg of UConn (2/17)
• Impressive during his 6-0, 6-1 triumph over Carson Jones of Georgia Southern (2/24)
• Was a 6-2, 6-1 winner vs. UC-Irvine's (3/6) Jonathan Hammel
• Joined Bolona at the No. 2 spot to defeat Marquette's (3/15) Collins and Tehrani, 8-4
• Roared back to win, 7-5, 6-1, over Marquette's (3/15) Logon Collins after being down 5-4, with two set points in the opening set
• Handled Quoc-Daniel Nguyen of (3/20) No. 33 Cornell, 6-1, 6-1 in less than an hour of play
• Breezed his way past Troy's (3/23) Tadju Davies, 6-1, 6-2
• Has won his last four consecutive matches at the No. 4 position (3/6-23)
• Claimed a 7-5, 7-6 victory over USF's (4/14) Federico Sabogal at the No. 3 slot
• At the C-USA Championship (4/18), was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over ECU's Damien Brenard

2012 FALL
• Posted a 5-4 singles record
• Went 1-1 in doubles action
• Defeated Georgia Tech's Anish Sharma 6-4, 6-4 at the USTA Clay Court Invitational
• Advanced to the Flight B semifinals at the C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational by beating Florida Tech's Barry Dylewski 6-1, 6-2 and Flagler's Inigo Landalce 6-1, 6-4
• Won 6-3, 6-4 versus Henrique Tsukamoto of Miami and 7-6, 6-7, 10-7 against FAU's Chris Janssen at the FGCU Fall Invitational
• Along with Juan Bolona, defeated FAU's Richard Meade and Robert Dubuque 9-8 at the FGCU Fall Invite

2012 SPRING
• Competed in nine singles contests during the spring, claiming four victories
• Went 3-1 at the No. 5 position
• Against Conner Sherwood of No. 41 Wake Forest, picked up a 4-6, 7-6 (10-7) win
• At Oral Roberts, topped Matthew Prevost, 6-0, 6-0
• Posted an overall 12-7 doubles mark
• Went 8-2 with Juan Bolona, including a 6-2 mark at No. 3
• Joined Bolona for an 8-4 victory over Leon Nasemann and Johnny Grimal of No. 32 Memphis
• Along with Bolona, rolled to an 8-1 win over No. 36 Miami's Marco Stancati and Victor Mauz

2011 FALL
• Claimed five singles victories during tournament play
• In doubles competition, went 3-2 with Francesc Aulina

2011 SPRING
• Named to the All-Conference USA Second Team
• Defeated Jamie Eccleton of Troy at No. 5 singles 7-5, 6-3
• Beat Vitor Belucci of Bethune-Cookman 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5

2010 FALL
• Posted first career victory against Beuregard Treyz of UNF at the Gator Invitational.
• Won the championship final in his bracket at the C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational over Simon Raagaard of Barry University. Won four singles matches at the tournament overall.
• Also paired up with Leonel Vivas to win the doubles championship final in their bracket at the C.L Varner Memorial. The duo won three doubles matches at the tournament overall.
• Won the championship final in his bracket at the UCF Invitational over Oliver Webb of FAU. Won three singles matches at the tournament overall. • Joined Mario Samson to take down teammates Matthew Zachary and Erik Brunskog in the Black Draw doubles championship at the UCF Invitational 9-7
• Won eight singles matches overall in his first collegiate fall season
