ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Following a 4-1 home stretch, the UCF men's tennis team looks to stay hot when it travels to Statesboro, Ga., to take on East Carolina Saturday at 11 a.m. and Georgia Southern Sunday at 10 a.m.

Both matches will take place at the Hanner Tennis Complex on the Georgia Southern campus.

The Black and Gold are looking to extend its winning streak to three after accumulating its first shutout of the season, a 7-0 home victory over Connecticut Sunday.

UCF (5-4) has climbed its way past .500 for the first time by playing its best tennis of the season. During a two-week span, the Knights have tallied wins against Rollins, FAU, Florida Gulf Coast and UConn.

Conference USA foe ECU is 7-1 on the season and will compete against Georgia Southern Friday afternoon before its match with the Knights. UCF is 4-2 all-time against the Pirates, last defeating them 4-0 when the Knights hosted the C-USA Championship last season.

Georgia Southern fosters a 3-2 record, after losing 4-1 against USC Upstate Sunday. The Knights are 5-3 all-time versus the Eagles, which includes a dominant 7-0 home victory last season.

"We really improved our play during the past few weeks at home," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said. "Now we have to build on that momentum and bring it on the road with each match we play."
