ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF men's tennis head coach Bobby Cashman has added to his already impressive recruiting class. Cashman has announced that Francesc Aulina of Spain and Leonel Vivas of Venezuela will both be joining the Knights this fall.
Aulina recently reached the top 150 in the Spanish men's open national rankings. Vivas boasts a career high ATP singles ranking of 1,071 (October 2009) and was ranked as high as No. 2 in Venezuela in the boys 16s and the boys 18s junior rankings.
The pair joins a recruiting class highlighted by Matthew Zachary of Bossier City, La., and Matthew Gladstone of Miami Beach. Zachary is currently ranked as the 66th-best senior in the nation, while Gladstone is rated as the 21st-best senior in Florida.
"We are very excited about adding Francesc and Leonel to our incoming recruiting class," Cashman said. "This is an outstanding class that features four players who really know how to compete."
UCF's recruiting class was recently listed as the fifth-best mid-major class in the nation by Tennisrecruiting.net. The web site also ranked the class as the 26th-best overall in the country.
