ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF men's and women's tennis teams are continuing to excel in the classroom. Both squads have received ITA All-Academic Team accolades which are annually presented to programs with a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above.

Along with Florida State and Stetson, UCF was one of three programs in Florida that had both of its men's and women's teams recognized by the ITA. Head coach Stephanie Nickitas' women's team received recognition for the fourth-straight year, while Bobby Cashman's squad took its second-consecutive honor.

Seven Knights were honored as ITA Scholar Athletes. Letterwinners who have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 receive the award.

Sofia Baptista, Caroline Eberhart, Courtney Griffith and Genevieve Lorbergs were honored from the women's team, while Juan Bolona, Jorge Blasco and Francesc Aulina were the men's honorees.
