Director of Program Development

Ashley Johnson joined the UCF women's basketball staff as director of program development in June 2014. She has previously served as a graduate assistant for LSU's women's basketball team and as an intern in Georgia Tech's compliance department.

Johnson (formerly Thomas) was a four-time Academic All-SEC honoree and two-year captain while suiting up for LSU's women's basketball team from 2004-08. The Stone Mountain, Ga., native started 92 games in her career and ranks among LSU's top 10 for NCAA postseason game appearances. The Tigers advanced to four Final Fours during her tenure.

She most recently volunteered her time as the girls' basketball coach and mentor at Stephenson High School in 2013 and served as an assistant coach for the Fairfax Stars U16 Nike Basketball Team in 2011. In the corporate world, Johnson was a pricing and international trade compliance analyst for Northop Grumman from 2010-13.

Johnson earned her bachelor's degree (marketing) and master's (MBA) from LSU in 2008 and 2010, respectively.
