Director of Basketball Operations

Juliet McGee Schweiter begins her second season with the Golden Knight women's basketball program and serves as the director of basketball operations.

Schweiter joined Gail Striegler's staff as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator in the summer of 2005.

"Because of Juliet's hard work, we were able to sign a talented group of players in our 2006 class," said Striegler.

Schweiter spent the previous six seasons as an assistant at Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va. While at ODU, she helped lead the team to a 146-47 record and six consecutive Colonial Athletic Association titles. The Monarchs also advanced to the NCAA Tournament six times during her tenure with two trips to the Sweet 16 and one to the Elite Eight.

Prior to her time at Old Dominion, Schweiter was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at American University in Washington, D.C. from 1997-99. She helped guide the Eagles to a 23-7 mark and an invitation to the WNIT during 1997-98. It was the program's first postseason appearance.

Schweiter was also an assistant at Yale from 1995-97, where she was responsible for student-athlete recruiting and scouting reports.

As a graduate assistant at Fairfield from 1993-95, Schweiter coordinated on-campus recruiting, assisted with preseason conditioning and practice sessions and monitored the academic progress of the student-athletes.

Schweiter graduated from Bucknell in 1993 where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics. On the basketball court, Schweiter scored over 1,000 points and led the Patriot League in rebounding for two seasons. She grabbed over 500 rebounds during her career.

In 2003, Schweiter was inducted into the Moses Brown High School Hall of Fame.

A Rhode Island native, Schweiter and her husband Herb, a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps, are the proud parents of Gavin Richard (2) and twins, Olivia Anne and Isabelle Cleon, who were born in July.
