Bernice Mosby who had 16 points with one assist and one steal led Florida. Tamia Williams led the Lady Gators in rebounds with five.
"They have a very good basketball team," said head coach Gail Striegler, "and for us to compete with them we have to play 40 minutes, we can't give up any easy second baskets or any transition baskets, which we gave up a couple of those the first half and then went into a dry spell in the second half. I'll give them credit, they played some good defense."
The Golden Knights return to action Thursday, December 2 when they take on the Belmont Bruins in the UCF Arena at 5 p.m. The UCF men's basketball team will take on Gardner-Webb at the conclusion of the women's game. Tickets are still available for both games.
