ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Four Knights scored in double figures to lift the UCF women's basketball team to a decisive 68-43 win over SIUE in the final game of the UCF Thanksgiving Classic on Sunday.

Freshman Zykira Lewis emerged as the leading scorer for the third-straight game, netting 16 points for her seventh-straight game of double digits. She was joined by sophomore guard Briahanna Jackson (15 points), junior guard Sara Djassi (12 points) and junior forward Stephanie Taylor (10 points).

While the Knights (6-1) gave a lights-out performance, they also received an extra boost from the free throw line, where they converted 20-of-23 (87 percent).

Although the second half saw just a 2-point difference between the two teams, UCF's lead was never in jeopardy after the Knights had commanded a considerable lead in the first half.

Jackson made moves early, accounting for all of UCF's first 10 points. With help from her hot hand, the Knights jutted out to a 17-5 lead in the first seven minutes of the game.

UCF rolled right along the rest of the half, sinking 52 percent of its shots from the field. Lewis kept spirits high headed into halftime when she stole the ball in transition, allowing the Knights to set up their offense. The ball found its way back to her and she sank a 3-pointer from the left wing to give her team a 39-16 lead at the break.

UCF closed out the game with a stacked stat sheet as every player who stepped on the court scored. Moreover, all but one player grabbed at least one rebound.

The win was the second for the Knights in a 24-hour span as they also rolled to a 65-45 win over Howard on Saturday afternoon.

The Knights will next face Flagler on Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. at CFE Arena. There are 15 home games on UCF's slate in 2013-14, including contests against national champion UConn and national runner-up Louisville during league play. Season tickets, which start at only $30 for adults and $15 for kids, are available today by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFKnights.com.
