ORLANDO, Fla. - Francine Houston led UCF with 14 points when the Golden Knights fell to Lipscomb 67-60 Saturday afternoon. The Knights fell to 2-4 on the season and 1-1 in the Atlantic Sun while the Bisons improved to a 4-2 mark on the season and 2-0 in the conference.

Houston earned her first career start as a Knight while going 5-for-18 from the field and 4-for-11 from behind the arc. Ali Roberts and Celeste Hudson led UCF in rebounds with 11 apiece. Roberts and Hudson each scored 11 points. Takira Allen led the Knights with four blocks while scoring six points.

The teams went into the locker rooms at the end of the first half with Lipscomb up 35-32. Houston had scored all 14 of her points for the Golden Knights in the first 20 minutes of play. Courtney Boynton was leading Lipscomb with 18 points while playing in 17 minutes.

Penny Jones recorded a double-double for Lipscomb by scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 boards. Boynton led the Bisons with 27 points after going 8-for-12 from the field, 5-for-7 from behind the arc and 6-for-6 from the charity line. Katie Beth Pate led Lipscomb in rebounds with 13 while scoring five points for the Bisons.

The Knights will take the next week off due to final exams and will return to action on Monday, December 13 when they take on Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. at 7:00 p.m. The next home game will be in the UCF Holiday Classic on Saturday, December 18 when they take on Colgate at 1:00 p.m. Tickets for the UCF Holiday Classic are still available. Adults are $5. Youth age 17 and under and seniors age 55 and older pay $3. Children under five and UCF students with a valid UCF student I.D. are admitted free.
