ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team returns to action this Friday against eight-time defending MAC champion Bowling Green in Bowling Green, Ohio, at 7 p.m. The game will mark the first meeting between the two programs.

Before its two-week hiatus from game action, UCF (5-8) posted back-to-back victories and captured its first road win of the season at Florida Gulf Coast. By topping the defending Atlantic Sun Tournament champion, UCF snapped the nation's ninth-longest home-win streak (16).

Guard Briahanna Jackson averaged 17.5 points between the Knights' last two wins and was recognized as the C-USA Freshman of the week for her efforts, picking up UCF's first weekly award of the season. She currently ranks ninth in the country for steals per game (3.85).

Bowling Green (9-3) is riding a six-game winning streak heading into Friday's contest, most recently upending No. 14/15 Dayton. The win on Dec. 30 was just the fifth against a nationally ranked team in program history. Chrissy Steffen, who just surpassed the 1,000-point milestone, leads the team in scoring with an average of 12.8 points per game.

Friday's game will mark the end of the non-conference schedule as the Knights tip off their final season in Conference USA on Jan. 10 at home against UAB.

Fans can tune into Scott Adams' free audio broadcast of the game via UCFAthletics.com and any mobile device.

Season tickets, which start at only $30, are currently available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
