ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team is prepping for an important weekend of Conference USA action at the UCF Arena, where they will host both Memphis on Friday and UAB on Sunday. The Knights will hold the 10K Gold Rush for Sunday's contest against UAB, slated for a 5 p.m. tip-off, and admission to the contest is free.

The defending C-USA Tournament champions were 8-0 at the UCF Arena in conference play a season ago, and will be looking to push a streak of consecutive conference home wins to 10 with a pair of victories this weekend.

Numerous promotions are planned for Sunday as the Knights aim to break the school attendance record. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a 10K Gold Rush t-shirt.

In addition, if at least 500 UCF students are in attendance, one student will win a drawing for a $1500 spring scholarship. Students will need to scan their IDs at the student entrance, and a name will be drawn during a timeout during the game. The winner must meet all financial aid requirements and be present at the time of the drawing to win.

Throughout the week, coaches and players will be around the UCF campus and community handing out tickets to the game, passing out posters and signing autographs. The Knights will be at Smokey Bones at 6:30 p.m. this evening during the Kirk Speraw Radio Show. A full list of appearances appears at the conclusion of this release.

The UCF-UAB contest will also be nationally televised on ESPN2, one of six televised games for the Knights this season. Pam Ward will be the play-by-play announcer for the contest while Kayte Christensen will serve as the color analyst.

Season and single-game tickets are currently available with the UCF Ticket Office. Knight fans can purchase season tickets for each of the team's 14 home games for just $39. For more information on purchasing tickets, contact the UCF ticket office at (407) 823-1000.
