ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Knights fans will have the chance to win $10,000 or $25,000 and a new Chevy Camaro when the UCF women's basketball team hosts its 10K Gold Rush game Saturday at 4 p.m. against Houston.
UCF students receive free admission and tickets are priced at a discounted rate of $2 for the general public.
Giveaways during the game include:
Six individual $50 gas cards from Wawa
One Sector 9 skateboard with custom UCF artwork
One Xbox One
Contest to win $10,000
Contest to win $25,000 and a Chevy Camaro; total prize value of $50,000
Saturday's matchup marks the first time that the two teams will meet twice in the regular season since the series began in 2006. UCF (8-12, 1-8 The American) bested Houston (4-16, 0-9) in Texas, 67-59, in the first American Athletic Conference game to be played in the league on Dec. 28.
UCF enters the game having won the last three meetings over Houston. The Cougars have yet to win a conference game and are under the direction of interim head coach Wade Scott after four-year head coach Todd Buchanan resigned in late December due to personal reasons.
Te'onna Campbell is the team's leading scorer with 10.5 points per game, and Yasmeen Thompson averages a team-best 8.1 rebounds per game.
The matchup will air on the American Digital Network, which fans can access free of charge through a multitude of platforms including desktop, mobile and tablet.
