ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's basketball team will make its first trip to The RAC this weekend to take on Rutgers at 2 p.m. Saturday. One of the Knights' very own will be returning to her alma mater on a special day.

UCF assistant coach and Courtney Locke will guide the Knights against her former team on her birthday. She helped the Scarlet Knights earn four NCAA Tournament berths during her time in uniform from 2002-06.

In the teams' first-ever meeting earlier this year, Rutgers used its transition game to outrun UCF, 69-48. The Scarlet Knights outscored the Knights on the fastbreak, 21-0.

The Knights (10-14, 3-10) are coming off their first win over SMU during the regular season in five years. In recent years, UCF seems to hit its stride during the month of February under head coach Joi Williams' direction. UCF holds a 22-12 record during the month of February within the last five years.

Rutgers (19-5, 10-3) is riding a four-game win streak into the contest, most recently downing Houston on the road Tuesday night. That win was a historic one for head coach Vivian Stringer as it marked her 400th victory at Rutgers. She is just the second coach - men's or women's - to win 400 games at the program.

Three Scarlet Knights rank among the conference's top-10 leading scorers - more than any other program. Kahleah Cooper, who ranks fifth, averages a team-best 15.8 points per game while Tyler Scaife (13.4 ppg) and Betnijah Laney (12.6 ppg) stand ninth and 10th, respectively.

Scaife is the reigning American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week. She has been honored with the distinction in four of the last five weeks.
