ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) -- The UCF women's basketball team (11-12, 6-5 C-USA) heads to Southern Miss (9-15, 3-8 C-USA) on Thursday at 8 p.m. eastern. The Knights close out the regular season with three of their final five games on the road.

First stop on the slate is Hattiesburg, where the Knights meet Southern Miss looking for their third-straight sweep of the Golden Eagles since 2010. UCF claimed a 65-47 win in the first meeting on Jan. 15, thanks to Gevenia Carter's 23 points and Aisha Patrick's incredible stat line of 19 points, eight rebounds, a season-high seven assists and five steals in front of a school record 2,178 fans at UCF Arena.

The Knights are coming off one of their finest defensive performances in Sunday's win over UAB. They held the Blazers to 14 field goals, which marks the least amount of baskets scored by a Conference USA opponent since the Knights joined the league in 2005-06. The production is one field goal shy of the C-USA record for a single-game low.

After starting conference play 0-8, Southern Miss has won three-straight games. Tanecka Carey leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 16.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Jamierra Faulkner ranks third in the nation for assists per game (7.6) and 14th for steals per game (3.3). The Golden Eagles rank first in the conference for field goal percentage (.417).

The IMG Sports Network will broadcast all of UCF's games live on UCFAthletics.com with a subscription plan. Scott Adams will provide the play-by-play. Live stats are also available via UCFAthletics.com.
