ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team hopes to extend its win streak Sunday at 2 p.m. when it welcomes reigning Conference USA champion UTEP in the Play 4 Kay Pink Game.
The first 200 people in attendance will receive an exclusive UCF hot pink T-shirt and pink pom-poms. There will be a raffle at halftime for a Susan G. Komen prize pack, and following the game, children are welcome to participate in an on-court shootaround and meet the team in an autograph session.
Jackson hit a milestone in UCF's road win at Southern Miss, as she became the top-scoring freshman of the Joi Williams era (since 2007) with 362 points to her name. With her four steals Thursday, she also amassed the most steals in a season since 1987-88, moving up to third on UCF's all-time single-leaders list with 84 steals.
UTEP (18-5, 6-4) has struggled as of late, dropping three of its last four games. The Miners pace the league in rebounding margin (+7.5) and boast two of C-USA's top-10 scorers this season: Kayla Thornton and Anete Steinberga, who both average 14.4 points per game.
