ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's basketball team will get another look at Cincinnati this Saturday at 4 p.m. on Alumni Day.
UCF (10-16, 3-12) will welcome back more than a dozen former Knights to CFE Arena as the team aims to split its inaugural series with the Bearcats.
Despite a shaky shooting night for both teams in their last meeting, Cincinnati (11-15, 4-11) managed to edge the Knights, 47-37, in January in Ohio. Senior Sara Djassi led UCF in scoring for the fifth-straight game in the contest with a game-high 12 points. Forward Stephanie Taylor grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.
After posting back-to-back wins against Memphis and Temple a week ago for the first time since mid-December, Cincinnati is coming off a loss to USF heading into Saturday's matchup.
Dayeesha Hollins was leading the team in scoring with 13.3 points per game before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Reigning American Athletic Conference Player of the Week Jeanise Randolph has stepped up in her absence with 11.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
