ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With the final regular season games around Conference USA having been played on Thursday night, the league office released the bracket for the 2010 GMC Sierra Conference USA Women's Basketball Championships, and the UCF women's basketball team learned the road it will take while aiming to defend its title next week in Tulsa, Okla.

The Knights will enter as the eighth seed and play in the tournament's first game Monday afternoon, meeting ninth-seeded Marshall at 1 p.m. EST. Winners of two-straight games and six of its last nine contests, UCF finished the regular season 10-15 overall and 7-9 in C-USA action. The Knights tied with Rice for seventh place in the league standings.

In 2009, UCF claimed the tournament title as the fifth seed, becoming the second team in league history to win four games in four days to win the championship. The Knights won the title game 65-54 in overtime over Southern Miss to claim the program's first C-USA tournament crown.

UCF split two regular season meetings with Marshall, who finished the season at 14-15 overall and 6-10 in league play. The Knights opened the conference season in Huntington against the Thundering Herd, falling 74-60. On February 4 in Orlando, UCF split the season series with a 56-47 victory.

With a victory Monday, UCF will square off in the quarterfinals with top-seeded Tulane (23-6, 12-4) on Tuesday at 1 p.m. EST. The Knights' potential semifinal contest on Wednesday would be at 6 p.m. EST while the championship game is slated for 1:30 p.m. EST on Friday afternoon.
