ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's basketball team held its annual photo and media day on Monday, and senior forward Erika Jones did her best to capture it.
Monday's exclusive video produced by Chip Fontanazza follows Jones around the morning-session of the team's media day.
The Knights unveiled their new uniforms at their practice facility, which also received a new look over the summer. Later in the afternoon, UCF head coach Joi Williams and select members of the team met with local media to discuss the Knights' inaugural season in the American Athletic Conference.
Williams said one of the biggest advantages of the new conference is more chances of securing an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
"We have been in a one-bid league. If you didn't' win the league, it's tough to make it (to the NCAA Tournament)," Williams said. "Now we're in a situation where if we can sustain and play well throughout the year, win the championship or not, we still have a great opportunity to get our name called when they call 64 teams in March."
UCF opens their 2013-14 slate at home on Nov. 8 against Central Connecticut State at 6 p.m. Season tickets are now on sale for as low as $30. The GOLD Pass, which includes one general admission seat for all home men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, softball, women's basketball and track & field events, is available for $90.
