ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF head women's basketball coach Joi Williams and her staff held a free coaches clinic for 30 coaches from around the region on Saturday afternoon at UCF Arena.

The coaches attending the event came from the local area, Jacksonville and St. Petersburg and also included three from as far away as Nashville, Tenn. Among the topics covered during the clinic were offensive and defensive fundamentals. Participants were also invited to stay for the Knights' second practice of the season and direct questions to the coaching staff.

"Today was a great opportunity for us to continue to build relationships with coaches from around the region," said Williams. "The setting really allowed us to exchange ideas and for them to become more familiar with our program. We appreciate them taking the time to share with us as we begin a new era in UCF women's basketball."

Season tickets are available for the women's basketball team's debut season at the new UCF Arena and can be purchased by calling 407-UCF-1000 or by emailing tickets@athletics.ucf.edu. The Knights open up the season on Nov. 9 against Texas Tech at 7 p.m.
