ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's basketball team looks to keep its undefeated record at home intact this Saturday when Flagler rolls into town at 4 p.m.
The Knights (6-1) and Saints (2-4) are meeting for the first time since 1983. UCF owns a 4-0 record so far at CFE Arena this year and plays four of its six games in the month of December in Orlando.
The women's team will tip off its second of three double-headers this year with the men's team, who is slated to face Stetson at 7 p.m. at CFE Arena. The Knights boast a 4-0 record in doubleheaders under the direction of men's head coach Donnie Jones and women's head coach Joi Williams.
Although they haven't met in 30 years, UCF and Flagler once played regularly in the early years of the program. UCF holds a 12-4 advantage in the series and has won the last four meetings.
The Knights will be stepping out on the court for the first time since their back-to-back wins over Howard and SIUE in the UCF Thanksgiving Classic.
Flagler is wrapping up a five-game road swing in Orlando on Saturday. The Saints have posted a 1-3 record during that stretch and are led by Division II All-Southeast Region and All-Peach Belt Conference selection Williesha Spencer's 22.7 points per game.
Single-game tickets for UCF's New Year's Day matchup against UConn are on sale now. Season tickets, mini-plans and group packages are still available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or visiting UCFKnights.com.
