ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team (3-6) will trek south down the turnpike to a familiar foe in FIU (3-4) on Thursday at 6 p.m.

The Knights will make their first appearance on the court after their 64-43 win over Bethune-Cookman on Dec. 2. Although UCF dropped its most recent matchup against FIU last season, the Knights emerged with a 74-65 win the last time they visited Miami in December 2010.

The road game will be a trip home of sorts for junior Kiana Morton, who transferred to UCF after spending two years with Miami-Dade College. A two-time All-Southern Conference Second Team selection, she helped the Sharks claim the 2010-11 Southern Conference Tournament championship.

The ties to Miami don't stop there. UCF's all-time leading scorer and rebounder Tamika Coley is related to FIU guard Jerica Coley. Tamika served as Jerica's AAU coach from middle school through high school, and the Panthers' leading scorer credits much of her success to her aunt's tutelage.

FIU advanced to the second round of the WNIT last year and returns four starters and 10 letterwinners from that squad.

Season tickets, which start at only $30, are currently available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
