ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After a blazing start to the second half of the season, the UCF women have climbed to No. 21. in the latest iteration of the NCAA Golfstat rankings, with back-to-back wins in their first two tournaments. This is the highest ranking the UCF women have ever achieved.
UCF head coach Emily Marron is proud of the team’s achievement but knows the season is not over and there is still work to be done. She said the team has been working extremely hard and if they stay focused on their goals the rankings will take care of themselves.
“Of course it’s great to wake up and see that we are up to No. 21, but what truly matters is where you are ranked at the end of May,” Marron said. “It’s been a fun year with this team and they seem to get better with each event. That progress is all any coach can ask for.”
Next up for the Knights is the Central District Invitational Feb. 17-18 in Parrish, Fla.
