TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s golf team saw its season come to an end at the NCAA East Regional Saturday.
UCF opened Saturday’s play in a tie for 13th. At one point the Knights had climbed above the cut line. But UCF struggled on the back nine and dropped out of contention for advancement to the NCAA Championship finals.
UCF recorded 17 bogeys and a pair of double bogeys in the back half of its round Saturday. Combined with just six birdies, that left the Knights in 17th place at the end of the regional championship.
Individually, junior Monifa Sealy was the top finisher for UCF, tying for 41st place. Freshman Ashley Holder finished in a tie for 47th. Junior Fanny Cnops was tied for 55th. Freshman Kristine Odaiyar wrapped up play tied for 65th, while Kaitlyn Price rounded out the lineup with a 116th-place finish.
