LAS VEGAS, Nev. (UCFKnights.com) -- The UCF women's golf team is in fourth place and just three strokes off the lead at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The Knights were 3-over in the first round at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club.

UNLV, the host school, is in the lead at even par. UC Irvine and Minnesota are tied for second at 2-over.

Monifa Sealy and Fanny Cnops paced the Knights in the first round. The Knight duo fired even-par rounds of 72, good enough for a tie for ninth after one round of play. Ashley Holder fired a 1-over 73, which ties her for 21st after the first round. Kaitlyn Price rounded out the team scoring with a 2-over 74 and is tied for 31st. 

Playing as an individual, Paola Robles scored a 4-over 76 and is tied for 52nd after the first day of action. Robyn Doig carded a 78 (+6) and is currently tied for 78th.

The second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown is scheduled for Monday morning.
