ORLANDO, Fla. ( -- The No. 21 UCF women's golf team has won its first two outings of the spring and has risen to its best national ranking ever. The Knights will look to keep the positive momentum going next week at the Central District Invitational, hosted by Michigan State University.

The event will be held at the Lakewood Ranch Cypress Course in Bradenton, Fla., with two rounds Monday and one Tuesday.

A talented field awaits UCF, including No. 14 Vanderbilt and No. 20 Michigan State. Other highly-ranked programs in the 14-team field include No. 41 Louisville, No. 44 Notre Dame, No. 52 SMU and No. 56 Minnesota.

UCF head coach Emily Marron will send out a lineup led by Fanny Cnops at No. 1. Cnops was the individual medalist at last week's UCF Challenge. Ashley Holder, Robyn Doig, Kaitlyn Price and Kristine Odaiyar will round out the team lineup. Mary Mulcahy will be taking part for the Knights, but playing as an individual.

"We certainly hope to build off of the momentum of our great start to the spring season," Marron said. "Lakewood Ranch is a new venue for this event, so we will focus on having a good practice round and making a good game plan. This is the first lineup change we've had since October. We have a really deep team this year and we are trying to figure out what lineup we will use come postseason. So we wanted to give freshman Krsitine Odaiyar a start. There's a real 'high' on the team right now, and the girls are excited to keep this energy going."
