ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s golf team will take part in the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Knoxville, Tenn. this weekend. The Knights will be looking to improve upon a solid start to the season last week against some tough competition.
“This week will show us how good we really are,” head coach Emily Marron said. “The Mercedes always has a strong field and will be a true test for us. We had a nice start at Texas A&M and hope to build off the momentum of our final round there.”
UCF’s lineup at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville will include Monifa Sealy, Ashley Holder, Fanny Cnops, Robyn Doig and Kaitlyn Price.
The field includes the host Lady Volunteers, Tulane, Arkansas, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Penn State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Rollins, College of Charleston, Michigan, Campbell, Missouri, Louisville and Chattanooga.
UCF is coming off a third-place finish at the MoMorial at Texas A&M.
The Mercedes-Benz Championship begins Friday and will run through Sunday, with one round each day.
