ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's golf team heads to San Antonio, Texas this weekend to compete in its fall season finale, the Alamo Invitational. The tournament begins on Sunday Oct. 31 and continues on through Tuesday Nov. 2nd. The 54-hole invitational, hosted by University of Texas-San Antonio, is being held at Briggs Ranch Golf Club, a par-72 course totaling 6,302 yards.

The 14-team 2010 Alamo Invitational field features teams from across the nation including seven ranked inside the top-50 according to GolfStat.com. Tulane looks to be the favorite, entering the tournament as the highest ranked team at No. 13, followed closely behind by Colorado at No. 17. Last year's runner-up Notre Dame returns to the Alamo with a ranking of No. 18 along with TCU at No. 38, Tulsa at No. 41, Texas A&M at No. 42 and Wisconsin at No. 48.

Freshman Kaitlyn Price (Jacksonville Beach, Fla.) leads the way for the Knights at number one after an impressive performance at the Windy City Collegiate earlier this month. Sophomore Carolin Pinegger (Marquartstein, Germany) looks to finish her fall campaign on a positive note, competing for the Knights at the number two position. Senior Katie Detlefsen (Eagan, Minn.) will start at the number three spot followed by Jordyn Hage (Winter Park, Fla.) at number four and Isabelle Bachtiar (Karlestad, Sweden) at number five. The Knights continue to improve each week and are looking for their first team title of the season.
