ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - A dominating second-half propelled the UCF women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Jacksonville in its lone exhibition match of the season Friday night.
Senior Tatiana Coleman packed the stats with a game-high five points thanks to two goals, including the game-winner, and an assist.
UCF first struck in the 18th minute when Kayla Darden sent a cross into Coleman in front of the net. Coleman nearly scored again in the 43rd minute after Alex Piercy drew a foul in the box to set up her teammate with a penalty kick, but it hit the post.
Freshman Bridget Callahan made her collegiate debut memorable by heading in a goal off senior Jennifer Martin's corner kick just after the halftime break.
Junior Sophie Howard got into the mix off an assist from Coleman in the 66th minute. Coleman then added her second goal of the match with her strike inside the box in the 69th minute.
