ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF women's soccer head coach Amanda Cromwell and senior associate athletics director for student services Jessica Reo were both recently appointed to NCAA committees. Cromwell will serve on the NCAA Men's and Women's Soccer Rules Committee, while Reo will work on the NCAA Division I Rowing Committee.
Cromwell's term of service will run from September 2010 through 2014. She will join a committee that consists of members from all three divisions, with half representing women's soccer interests and the other half representing men's soccer.
Coming off a 2009 season in which she was named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Regional Coach of the Year and the Conference USA Coach of the Year, Cromwell led the Black and Gold to the NCAA Tournament for the 14th time in school history. The Knights held a 17-5-1 record, were ranked as high as No. 8 in the nation and claimed the outright C-USA regular-season title.
UCF's senior women's administrator, Reo's duties with rowing will consist of leading the regionally advisory committee conference call to rank the top teams in each region, attend the championship and participate in national selection and national committee conference calls. She also will attend the NCAA's annual meeting.
Reo has been with the Knights since 2003 when she spent time in the compliance office. She was promoted to UCF's senior associate athletics director for student services in the summer of 2008. The administrator for UCF rowing, track and field, cross country, men's and women's tennis, volleyball and women's basketball, Reo graduated from Florida State in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in English.
