ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - As the UCF women's soccer team counts down the days to the start of preseason next week, the Knights announced Thursday the addition of three midfielders to their roster.

Freshmen Jennifer Vera (Ocala, Fla.) and Nastasia Asgedom (Tampa, Fla.) along with junior and Maryland transfer Ashley Spivey (Sparrows Point, Md.) will suit up for the reigning American Athletic Champions this fall.

They join a squad that returns eight starters, including all-conference selections Tatiana Coleman, Jennifer Martin and Lena Petermann.

Season tickets are now available for $30, good for one-general admission seat to all 2014 regular season home matches. As a bonus, season-ticket holders will also receive a special soccer scarf. Nastasia Asgedom
Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant HS

-Helped guide H.B. Plant to a district championship and regional quarterfinals
-Three-time First Team All-Hillsborough County
-Member of Tampa Bay United
-2013 State Cup runner-up, 2013 Disney runner-up, 2013 Regional runner-up and 2012 WAGS Tournament champions
-Her father played soccer at University of Tampa
-High School teammate of current UCF defender Caroline Bado

Ashley Spivey
Sparrows Point, Md./McDonogh School HS/Maryland

At Maryland (2012-13):
-Second-leading goal (6) and point (15) scorer in 2013, starting in 17 of 18 appearances
-Responsible for three game-winners in 2013
-As a freshman, was one of just two players to have started every match for the Terps
-Scored her first collegiate goal and added her first collegiate assist in 3-1 win at George Mason (8/31/12)
-Named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week as a rookie for her efforts vs. Francis Marion (1 goal) and NC State (2 goals)
-Helped team advance to the ACC Tournament finals versus Virginia in 2012
