ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF senior Tatiana Coleman was named the American Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, earning the league's first honor of the 2014 season.

Coleman, who was a preseason all-conference first team selection, has earned the distinction once previously.

The Boca Raton, Florida, native scored both goals for No. 23/19 UCF in its 2-1 season opening win over Miami. The win helped the Knights (1-0) stay unbeaten versus the Hurricanes over the last five meetings.

Defender Sophie Howard also received a shoutout on the honor roll for her performance, which included an assist on Coleman's first goal of the game.

In national news, the Knights bumped up one spot in TopDrawerSoccer.com's Top-25 on Monday to No. 23.

UCF heads to Texas to face ninth-ranked Texas A&M on Friday at 9 p.m. ET and TCU on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

UCF soccer is presented by Napleton's Volkswagen. Season tickets are now available for $30, good for one-general admission seat to all 2014 regular season home matches. As a bonus, season-ticket holders will also receive a special soccer scarf. The GOLD Pass, which includes one general admission seat for all home men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, softball, women's basketball and track & field events, is available for $90.
