ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's soccer team is on the rise in the national rankings this week. The Knights jumped up five spots to No. 18 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire poll on Tuesday.
UCF, which has been ranked or receiving votes in every NSCAA poll since Dec. 6, 2011, is the only American Athletic Conference program recognized among the Top 25. The Knights (1-0) sit atop the NSCAA's Northeast Region Top 10 ahead of fellow league members UConn (No. 3); Memphis (No. 6) and Cincinnati (No. 8).
Defending NCAA champion UCLA is the NSCAA's top-ranked team followed by Florida State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Stanford among the top five. For a look at the complete Top 25, click here.
