ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Still rolling on its unbeaten streak, the UCF women's soccer team once again appeared among the ranks of the nation's top 25 in several major polls Tuesday.
The Knights (11-2-2, 4-0-1) stayed put at No. 21 in the NSCAA national rankings as the American Athletic Conference's only remaining unbeaten team through league play. UCF returned to the NSCAA national top-25 on Oct. 1 after receiving votes for four weeks. UCF previously had been ranked every week from Dec. 6, 2011 - Sept. 3, 2013.
Soccer America listed UCF at No. 18, an improvement by one spot from last week, while Top Drawer Soccer bumped up the Knights two spots to No. 21.
They are the only American program among the top 25 in any of the polls. Virginia is the NSCAA's No. 1 followed by UCLA, Florida State, North Carolina and Portland in the top five.
UCF held on to its No. 12 spot in the RPI rankings for the second-straight week. The standings rate more than 325 teams based upon their wins, losses and strength of schedule. UCF is only behind No. 7 FSU among teams in the state of Florida.
The Knights currently rank among the top 25 teams in the country for several statistical categories. Here's the breakdown:
