ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – It’s going to be a big, busy weekend at UCF with numerous important athletic events taking place. Plus it’s Homecoming for the Knights. With so much going on in a short span of time, parking and transportation on campus will be affected.

In an effort to help fans make their plans for attendance at this weekend’s events, the following is a look at the weekend’s events, with pertinent parking information:

Friday, Nov. 8

5 p.m.
Women’s Soccer – UCF vs. USF – UCF Soccer Complex
American Athletic Conference Championship Tournament Semifinal
Notes
- The Knights, already winners of regular-season conference title, look to advance to the championship game of the league championship tournament.
- This will be the second matchup with the rival Bulls this season. UCF defeated USF 2-1 in front of a school-record crowd back on Sept. 27 at the UCF Soccer Complex. It was the first American Athletic Conference contest for both squads.

6 p.m.
Women’s Basketball – UCF vs. Central Connecticut State – CFE Arena
Season Opener for the Knights
Notes
- It’s the first-ever meeting between the Knights and Blue Devils.
- This will be the first regular-season game to be played on the new “Blacktop” court at CFE Arena.
- UCF won nine of its last 13 games last season and will be led by Preseason All-American Athletic Conference selection Briahanna Jackson, who averaged 15 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 2 assists per game last season.

- Should the Knights win their match earlier on Friday, they would face the winner of this match in Sunday's championship contest.

8:30 p.m.
Men’s Basketball – UCF vs. Tampa – CFE Arena
Season Opener for the Knights
Notes
- Tampa leads the series between the two squads, 2-1. However, all three matchups came during 1983-84 when both were members of NCAA Division II and the Sunshine State Athletic Conference.
- The Knights will be looking to extend a 10-game winning streak in season-openers.
- UCF returns four starters, making up 77.8 percent of its scoring from last season.
- This will be the first home game for the men’s basketball program on the new “Blacktop” court at CFE Arena.

Saturday, Nov. 9

2:30 p.m.
Men’s Soccer – UCF vs. Memphis – UCF Soccer Complex
American Athletic Conference Championship Tournament Quarterfinal
Notes
- The Knights are the No. 3 seed in the American Athletic Conference Championship tournament, while Memphis is the No. 6 seed.
- UCF has not lost a match since late September and is on an eight-match unbeaten streak.
- The Knights defeated Memphis 1-0 earlier this year at the UCF Soccer Complex.

Admission to this contest is free.
Parking Information
With this game taking place just hours before kickoff of UCF’s Homecoming football game, parking will be affected. Parking for this contest will be available for free in the red and blue lots on the UCF Gameday Parking map

7 p.m.
Football – UCF vs. Houston – Bright House Networks Stadium
American Athletic Conference game – UCF Homecoming game
Notes
- UCF and Houston have not played since Oct. 5, 2010. The Knights, who are 3-1 all-time vs. Houston, won that last matchup 40-33.
- The Knights are 23-10 all-time on Homecoming.
- Both teams are undefeated in American Athletic Conference play. UCF comes in 3-0 in league play, while Houston is 4-0. The winner will be the last remaining undefeated team in the conference.

- The Knights are the No. 1 seed in the American Athletic Conference Championship tournament. Should UCF win Friday night, the Knights will be taking part in this match.
- This is the inaugural American Athletic Conference Championship Tournament.
- UCF won the Conference USA Championship Tournament last season, in its last year in that league.
