ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Due to the threat of rain, the UCF softball team concludes a five-game road trip on Wednesday at Bethune-Cookman at 4 p.m. The contest was originally scheduled for Tuesday.

Junior Mackenzie Audas was honored for the second time this season as The American Pitcher of the Week on Monday after leading UCF (30-13) to a series victory at USF, 2-1.

Audas (14-8) joins sophomore Shelby Turnier (14-8) as a part of a pitching staff that paces The American in ERA at 1.55 and ranks second in strikeouts with 363.

The offense is led by junior second baseman Kahley Novak with a .368 avg. and has totaled career highs in hits (50) and runs scored (31). The Clermont native also paces the league in stolen bases at 24.

Sophomore Mariah Garcia posted the game-winning two-run double at USF on April 13, while classmate Kalyn Cenal blasted her first homer of the season, a two-run shot, that helped the Knights to a 3-1 win in game two of the series with the Bulls.

The Knights hold a 19-5 record against Bethune-Cookman including 11 of the last 12 meetings dating back to 2007. UCF is 8-3 in Daytona Beach, 9-2 on its home field and 2-0 at neutral sites in the all-time series.

Bethune-Cookman has posted a 15-24 overall and 5-1 MEAC record. The Wildcats have topped notable foes Campbell (3-2), Mount St. Mary's (1-0), Michigan St. (6-3), UT Martin (8-6), Marist (8-3), N.C. Central (1-0, 1-0, 2-0) and S.C. State (9-1, 10-4).

Calesha Shelley paces the offense with a .331 avg. and 44 hits, while Kelsey Rodney has compiled a .327 average with a team-high 14 doubles. Pacing the squad with 25 RBI and three homers is Kaitlin Alamprese.

In the circle, Sabrina Anquiano (7-12) has tallied a 3.49 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 134.1 innings pitched. Registering a 4.57 ERA is Bailey Conner (8-11), who has fanned 99 in 124.0 frames of work.

In a Friday, Saturday matchup at the UCF Softball Complex, the Knights host an important series in The American against third-place Louisville. The Friday doubleheader begins at 3 p.m., while the new time for the finale on Saturday is 11 a.m.
