TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Facing its second ranked opponent in as many days, the UCF women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to No. 61 Georgia State Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla. With the defeat, the Knights fell to 5-3 on the season.

The Panthers (3-3), who were led by the No. 32 doubles team in Abigail Tere-Apisah and Masa Grgan, picked up the first point by earning two doubles victories. The No. 2 match went unfinished when GSU reached the two-win mark.

UCF looked to make a comeback in singles. Josephine Haraldson delivered a first-set tiebreak victory against Whitney Byrd at No. 3 before Byrd retired. Freshman Caroline Eberhart also came through by getting by Chaimaa Roudami at No. 5, 7-5, 6-4. However the Panthers posted victories at the other four spots to secure their overall win.

Returning home, UCF will host Florida Gulf Coast Thursday at 2 p.m. It will be the last home match until March 13.
