ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The 2014-15 UCF Athletics season continues to get closer, and the women's tennis team has finalized its schedule for the upcoming campaign.
Under the leadership of eighth-year head coach Stephanie Nickitas, UCF will be at home to kick off the fall season with the first UCF Quad Tournament as Florida Atlantic, North Florida and South Florida will come to town Sept. 26-28.
The Knights remaining fall slate will include the Bedford Cup in Jacksonville Oct. 10-12, ITA Regionals in Atlanta Oct. 16-20 and a Disney Tournament Oct. 30-Nov. 2.
The second UCF Quad Tournament opens the spring as FIU, Illinois and Iowa travel to the UCF Tennis Complex Jan. 17-19. Meanwhile, the dual-match schedule gets underway Jan. 23 at home against FGCU, followed by a contest with Troy two days later.
UCF also will entertain Bethune-Cookman, UConn, FAU, East Carolina, Furman, Tulsa, Drexel, FIU, UAB and Louisiana-Lafayette in home dual matches in 2015.
One of the toughest stretches will be March 11-25 when UCF faces three straight opponents who finished 2014 in the top 60: No. 58 Furman March 11, No. 25 Tulsa March 18 and at No. 35 USF March 25.
Admission to all home matches is free.
