ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The American Athletic Conference announced the leagues all-academic teams on Wednesday with eight members of the UCF women's tennis team being honored.

During the 2013-14 academic year, Sofia Baptista, Cortney Cesarini, Caroline Eberhart, Courtney Griffith, Josephine Haraldson, Cassie Hochwalt, Clare Mendell and Bogna Noicka posted at least a 3.0 GPA to earn the acknowledgement.

A total of 166 UCF student-athletes were recognized for their work in the classroom by the American.

The Knights were distinguished with the ITA All-Academic Team honor in July, while Baptista, Cesarini and Griffith were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

UCF notched its third-straight perfect multi-year NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) score of 1,000 in May.

The opening of the fall campaign for the Knights is on Sept. 26-38 with the UCF Quad Tournament at the UCF Tennis Complex. Classes begin on Aug. 18.
