GUANAJUATO, Mexico - Aurieyall Scott and Octavious Freeman concluded the 2012 season in the best possible way: With gold medals adorning their necks while standing on the podium to the tune of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Freeman and Scott helped Team USA's 4x100 relay earn first place at the NACAC U23 Championships at Paralympic Track Stadium on Saturday. They ran the second and third legs, respectively, as the team jetted to a time of 43.58. They bested the Bahamas' 45.71 and Mexico's 47.85.

Their performance comes a day after Scott earned gold and Freeman claimed silver in the 100 meters, becoming UCF's first student-athletes to ever medal at the bi-annual meet.

The Knights will wrap up their time in Mexico Sunday when Sonnisha Williams competes in the long jump.
