Scott Set to Represent UCF, USA at World University Games

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Before she travels to the IAAF World Championships in August, UCF sprinter Aurieyall Scott is getting a preview of Russian competition at the World University Games this week.

The University Games are held every other year and are organized by the International University Sports Federation. It is a multi-sport competition open to men and women who are between the ages of 17-24, and are or have been within the past year, a student at a college or university.

Scott is slated to compete in the 100M and 4x100 relay. Her schedule, along with ESPN broadcast information, is as follows:

July 7: 11:30 a.m.; 100M prelims
July 8: 10:55 a.m. -- 100M semis; 12:05 p.m. (ESPN3) 100M finals

July 12: 10:45 a.m. ET (ESPN3); 4x100 relay finals

Scott is the latest Knight to jet set across the border to represent her country.

Competing for Panama at the 48th Senior South American Championships over the weekend, Jen Clayton finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 6.36m/20-10.5 (+2.8). The South American Championships is a biennial event dating back to 1919.

Clayton's family has roots in Panama and the NCAA First Team All-American decided to compete for the country as a tribute to her late brother, Lorenzo.
