ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF head volleyball coach Todd Dagenais is set for his first meeting as the chair of the NCAA Women’s Volleyball rules committee. The committee elected Dagenais as chair for the 2013-14 academic year and his term as chair began on Sept. 1, 2013.

“I’ve always had a great passion for the direction of the game,” Dagenais said. “I take a serious responsibility in preserving the future and the integrity of the game. I’m honored to have been elected as rules chair by the rules committee.”

Dagenais, who is in his third year of a four-year term on the committee, traveled this morning for the committee’s annual meeting which takes place January 21-23, 2014, in Indianapolis, Ind. Dagenais serves as one of four Division I reps to go along with two Division II reps and one Division III rep.

“We have important work to do with this being a rules change year,” Dagenais continued. “Although we don’t see anticipate significant rule changes this year, there are still a lot of things we need to address and look at as a committee.”
