Kramer Named to NCBWA Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List

ORLANDO – UCF baseball redshirt senior right-handed pitcher Kyle Kramer has been named to the Midseason Watch List for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year.

The Knights' closer has tallied a team-leading 19 appearances out of the bullpen, finishing 16 games. He has earned two wins and tallied eight saves, which ranks second in the AAC and ties for 11th in the nation. His eight saves this season rank in the top six for a single season in UCF history. It also brings his career total to 14, tying him with Zach Sutton for sixth all-time at UCF.

Kramer leads the Knights' pitchers with a 1.73 ERA and 0.85 WHIP, holding opponents to a .163 batting average. Through 26.0 innings of work, Kramer has amassed 39 strikeouts and allowed only 14 hits.

Over his last seven outings, Kramer has not allowed an earned run and has given up only three hits over 10.0 innings.

Kramer is one of two representatives from the American Athletic Conference, along with Memphis' Dalton Kendrick.

The NCBWA will announce finalists Wednesday, June 7 and winners will be named Friday, June 16 at the 2023 College World Series.
